I am so excited to tell you all about my attendance of the:
Primark Philadelphia Launch Party!
Last week, Primark, a European fast-fashion retailer, debuted their second US store in Philadelphia at the event Club #Primania. The store will be opening on Wednesday, November 25th at 11am at the King of Prussia Mall. Primark is one of the largest clothing retailers in Europe with 290 stores in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and France. Primark offers men’s and women’s clothing along with children’s clothes and home goods at an unbelievable low price. I was fortunate enough to be able to shop the store overseas in Europe during my study abroad trip to London. When I was first introduced to the store, I was so astounded by the fashionable items that were offered for low prices that I honestly had to see to believe. It is a store created for the fashion diva on a budget.
The event, to toast the US debut, was brought to Philly by Primark in collaboration with Refinery 29. Keke Palmer, the “Scream Queens” actress, hosted the VIP event. The event started with complementary signature drinks and food. And while I was eating and drinking and overall socializing, myself along with some of my local Philly blogger friends were able to talk to two representatives of Primark – one being a fashion designer for the Primark brand.
Social hour was cut short when the event kicked into full gear with an amazing runway show, and believe me when I say that it was amazing. The models were actually dancers and the runway show was more of a dance crazed show than a typical “walk down the runway” show. They took to the stop of the scaffolding runway and hit every move while showcasing the beautiful Primark ensambles. A-MAY-ZING!
After the runway show, Keke Palmer came to the stage and sang one of her most recent songs “I Don’t Belong to You”. Then right after, guests were blessed with a fun packed and energetic performance by Icona Pop who sang some of their well known songs “I Love It” and “All Night”.
At the end of the event, VIP guests were given a cute gift bag that included a seasonal Primark lookbook, and a $50 gift card!
The fun and energy of the event was beyond explanation. It was really one of those events that you had to be there to fully experience it. Check out some of the photos that I personally took, as well as the photos that feature me at the event, below. You can also see some of the videos from the performance on my Facebook page – LivingLesh.
And don’t forget that the Philadelphia Primark store will be opening on this Wednesday, November 25th at 11am at the King of Prussia Mall. The store will be opening directly following a ribbon cutting ceremony, and will also include music, promotions and giveaways by Mix 106.1’s street team with an appearance by DJ Nicole.
Can’t make it on that day? Don’t worry, I will be there! So feel free to follow me on my Snapchat – kariishh – for full coverage on the opening and the shopping experience!
