I’m sure you know about the King of Prussia Mall. It’s one of the biggest malls in America. I shop there quite often, and always refer anyone visiting the area that they must go their for the ultimate shopping experience.
Well, did you hear that the King of Prussia Mall is getting even bigger?! On August 18th, the King of Prussia Mall will be opening up the new expansion which is going to feature many new stores coming to the mall and relocations of stores existing in the mall already.
Speaking of relocation, one of my favorite luxury jewelry stores to stop in relocated and got a brand new look!
David Yurman is known for very unique looks. The artistic, hand crafted jewelry that is made by this brand is absolutely stunning. If I could have, I would have gotten my engagement ring from here, but their designs were a little too much for me. I didn’t want to walk around feeling as if my ring needed its own body guard.
Previously, the King of Prussia store was located on the first floor of the plaza near Lord and Taylor. But as of a few weeks ago, the store relocated to a bigger better location on the second floor of the plaza right near the new expansion. On August 18th, when the expansion opens to the public, the David Yurman store will be located near other luxury stores to make it easy shopping and to pull in their ideal customer – which is everyone!
But let’s talk about what’s new for the David Yurman King of Prussia store!
Walking into the store, the first thing that I noticed was the new plush carpet. It is literally like walking on air. It is a great break from walking on the marble floors of the mall and you instantly feel welcomed into the store and that you belong.
The second thing that I noticed was the lighting. In the previous store, the lighting did not do justice to the David Yurman pieces. It kept from showing off the sparkle and honestly, made the store look a little drab. But with this new design, the lighting shows off every sparkle and every detail of all the pieces found in the David Yurman store.
Everywhere that I look, the pieces in the cases caught my eye.
The new King of Prussia David Yurman store also comes complete with what the consultants call, “a man cave”. Most of the men’s items in the previous store were integrated with the women’s items. But in this new store, you can take a swift right and look at the wonderful men’s collection.
The men’s section has everything that you can imagine. They have everything ranging from rings to watches to their own cable bracelets – signature David Yurman.
Now, of course, I didn’t spend long in the men’s section because that has nothing to do with me and everything to do with my fiance. (We will go back and take a look when I bring him with me.) But for this exclusive look into the new store, I spent most of my time marveling at all of the women’s pieces.
The entire store left me breathless. From the chic decor to the pieces glowing in the cases. I wish I could have walked in with a million dollars and left with everything.
Of course, I was able to snag one piece, but I’m keeping that secret for right now. You’ll have to wait only a few days and I’ll show you one of the David Yurman pieces that I was able to snag for my accessory collection. Here’s a hint – it’s a new collection for David Yurman and it comes in many colors.
But for now, let me take you through all the sights that I drooled over in the store.
Let’s take a moment and absorb this decor. There are plus lounge chairs everywhere, and I can honestly tell you they are not only chic but absolutely comfortable. The spacing between each room and the organization of the decor is to be acknowledged.
Of course there was the jewelry and all of the collections as seen. The cases and the lighting did them due justice. Each piece sparkled with every turn or movement.
I was able to take a personal look at all of the styles and collections ranging from necklaces to bracelets to earrings. Personally, I think I will be returning to find pieces for my wedding jewelry. I do need “something new” and they also do have “something blue”.
Speaking of wedding jewelry, did I mention that they also have their own bridal line. Oh yeah, I think I did. But even further than that, they have unique designs that can be customized to your liking. And when you visit the store, there is a decor pieces that moves to enclose you in to the bridal section to give you a private and personal experience.
One aspect that I found great about the bridal section is the range in men’s wedding bands that they also had. When my fiance and I were searching for wedding bands, there isn’t much variety in the rings that are included for men. For women, yes, there’s everything. But searching for the perfect wedding band for men is a little harder. David Yurman’s wedding collection takes care of both the women and the men, and I think that’s something to be acknowledged.
Lastly, if you are not familiar with the David Yurman collection, then let me inform you that cable bracelets is the David Yurman staple. When I visited the old David Yurman store, I came to the store searching for the cable bracelet.
These bracelets are handcrafted and each one is unique. Actually, when you go to the new store, you can watch a short video about the work and care that goes into making these gorgeous bracelets.
David Yurman makes these bracelets for both the men and the woman. And they come in varieties of colors and styles. The cable signature is even worked into many other pieces such as the watches to show off the signature David Yurman style.
I’m excited about the new King of Prussia David Yurman store. It is stunning and does the David Yurman pieces a great justice. I can’t wait to visit so many more times and look at the new collections and shop the pieces when I want to reward myself.
What do you like about the new store? Do you have a piece from David Yurman, what is it? And if not, which piece would you want? And have you guessed what my new surprise piece is going to be?
Thank you to David Yurman and the staff at the King of Prussia store for partnering with me on this post. Opinions are 100% my own.
