I consider myself to be in a love-hate relationship with the gym and just fitness overall. It’s a situation where I love the feeling I get after a good workout, and the fact that my body is getting stronger and I’m more in shape. But I hate having to get off the couch and the aching muscles that I get when I kick my fitness regimen up to the next level.
There are even plenty of times where I will be in a non-workout time in the year, but I’ll head out to a fun 5k event because the idea of colored powder being thrown at my in the Color Run and zombies chasing me in a Zombie Run is just too much fun to pass out. That fun can be categorized into the love part of the relationship.
Another hate part of the relationship used to connected to the workout clothes. I hated wearing workout gear that was not my style, it was tight on my skin and left indentations, or when I went to the store it was just too expensive. I mean…who wants to spend $40 on a sports bra?
But recently, I found Ellie Activewear – which has turned my hate into love.
Ellie Activewear is a subscription service that sends you a complete fitness outfit (minus the shoes) and accessories for $49.95. You get 5 workout items in the entire set.
I’ve received two boxes so far and they have been completely amazing. And when subscribing, you don’t have to wait for the box to reach you to find out what is going to be in the box – it is revealed before hand.
In recent boxes, I have received accessories that included headbands, hair ties, a phone armband, a yoga mat, etc.
To put it in perspective…if you’re one to spend $40 on a sports bra and then $85 on a pair of workout leggings and a top, you’re paying about $130 for just the outfit before you even get to the accessories. That’s not a good budget shopping move.
Every outfit that I have received so far has gone beyond my expectations and has inspired me to get back to the gym and start working out again. I feel stylish and I don’t feel like I’m getting ripped off in the sportswear section.
So my advice – check out Ellie Activewear and try a month or two…or just stay subscribed.
