It’s the holiday season! My favorite time of year! And it’s not because of the fact that my birthday is around this time and Christmas is coming (well, that’s part of it), but it mostly because of the time spent with friends and family going to all the festivities and get-togethers.
I love spending time with my friends and family, and it is not like I don’t all year around because I very much do, but the holiday season just makes everything so much more special in a way. And there is so much that happens.
From Friendsgivings to Secret Santa holiday parties, my calendar is already being filled with invites so the planning must start now. Honestly, I already feel like I am behind.
So in the spirit of the holiday season, I am going to be featuring various posts for the holiday season. From style/outfits posts and how-tos for holidays to gift guides and recipes that will wow almost everyone. Stay tuned for the next few months for all the holiday cheer.
And to kick it off with something special, my first holiday post of the season is featuring this gorgeous gown from Lulu’s. As soon as I saw this dress I immediately thought about how when I was a teenager, I asked Santa to allow me to be a goddess for Christmas. And though it took him about 10 years for him to grant this Christmas wish – my thought is it was worth the wait.
This velvet gown is perfect for the upcoming holiday parties this December and to ring in the New Years (can you believe that 2016 is almost over).
As a petite woman, I often stay away from these dresses because I have a hard time filling them out completely, but I just couldn’t resist, and to my surprise, I think that it fits me amazingly.
To spice it up with more holiday style, I added some bling with a pair of drop earrings, also from Lulu’s, and a gold choker necklace from BOSSA (a NYFW gift).
With this level of chic, who can tell me that Santa didn’t grant me my wish a becoming a goddess?
