Season Two of Philly Small Business Fashion Week kicked off on October 13th with the Red Gala. The premiere event introduced guests to the purpose of Philly Small Business Fashion Week as well as the sponsors who helped to make this season’s event possible.
At the start of the event, we were introduced to the founder and coordinator of Philly Small Business Fashion week – Duane and Arington. They spoke on the purpose of the event and what they aimed to achieve. Philly Small Business Fashion Week was inspired by NYFW and Philly Fashion Week in the way that when the founder attended these events, he realized that there was no room for the small business and he wanted to create something that spotlighted those small businesses and give them the chance to be featured.
This season, Woods Services, was the beneficiary of the event and worked with PSBFW to bring awareness to autism and those with disabilities. Cheryl Koffman, the Woods Services representative in attendance, talked about how she was so happy to be partnering with the PSBFW team and how some of the shows during the week would feature some of the individuals that she works with in her cooperation.
The Red Gala featured designs by MISSPERRI FASHION. The all black ensembles took fashion to a level that introduced to the modern woman to wearing chic outfits in every day life.
