Rainy Days Are the Worst

I love the fall season. One – because my birthday is in November and two – because I absolutely adore being able to snuggle up with my blanket or in my sweater. Additionally, who doesn’t love hot chocolate? I mean…duh.

But there are some days in the fall that I just can’t deal with, and those are those rainy days that inevitably come each season. Since I’m an early riser as a school teacher, I get to deal with the rain that feels like it is about to turn into snow by the time I get halfway to school. It’s cold, it’s wet, and it’s extremely uncomfortable. All it makes me want to do is turn right back around and crawl back into bed – which is something that I cannot do.

Rainy days are the worst thing for me when it comes to picking out an outfit. When dressing for a rainy day, I have to make sure to pick outfits that work with my hair being pulled up. It also has to be, typically, a cotton material so that the wet spots dry up fairly quickly. And I have to wear boots that are fit for a rainy day meaning water can’t get it and dirt won’t stick on for the entire day – that’s wear the rain boots come in. And let me tell you, rain boots these days have gotten a lot more stylish so that you can wear them with any outfit and you’re not compelled to dress your entire outfit around that one bright-colored, patterned pair of rain boots that you knew you shouldn’t have gotten.

For this season, I am not worried about rainy days as much as I was last year. This year, in my closet, I have a pair of Aigle rain boots that, honestly, don’t even really look like rain boots. They are super stylish and I can wear them with a variety of outfits both to work and outside of it.
