Hey everyone! It has been a whirlwind week. I am now officially MRS. VINCENT!
Our wedding was everything that we could have imagined – beyond perfect. And honestly, I am still enjoying the bliss that came from the wedding and getting to marry my best friend. I’ll be sharing my wedding photos early next month, and I will be continuing sharing wedding planning tips throughout this month and into the summer.
And in that spirit, I want to share with you my first post-wedding post. Today, I want to share with you some registry tips. More importantly, what products should be on your registry.
When my husband (yes, I just said husband…ahh!) and I first started putting together our registry, we thought about what kind of household we would like to maintain. My husband and I both come from families who like to get together multiple time during the year, so we wanted to make sure to have items on our registry that are fit for entertaining family members more frequently than not. So when creating our bridal registry, we wanted to include long-lasting, quality cookware that we will use for years to come. Nobody wants to have to go purchase a new set of cookware every other year.
I did a little research as we added items to our registry and found that the most popular set of cookware was Calphalon cookware. This brand is known for providing high-quality cookware products that would last for a very long time.
So once a little research was done, our primary focus was to make sure that all of our cookware items on our registry were Calphalon. We included a the Calphalon Signature Nonstick Bakeware 6-Piece Set, the Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 12-piece Cookware Set, and the Calphalon Precision™ 10-Piece Space-Saving Self-Sharpening Knife Block Set.
This fully stocked our kitchen and made me fully prepared to begin entertaining at our apartment, and having the ability to make large amounts of food to bring to family functions.
I was so excited about the bakeware set. I come from a family that is addicted to sweets, and my husband is known for eating sweets more than he actually eats regular food. If we buy a tin of cookies from the grocery story on Wednesday, they are gone by Friday morning.
My grandmother is from the South and to this day, she is known for her desserts. She has a delicious banana pudding and carrot cake that people fight over at every family function. Throughout the years, she has been teaching me to pick up on these desserts so that I can begin making them for the family and to keep the recipe alive even after she has gone. So with this bakeware, I now have the opportunity to begin trying out the recipes in my own home and testing them on my husband. I hope his stomache is ready.
The Calphalon bakeware set comes with two round cake tins, a 12-spot muffin tin, a baking sheet, and a cooling rack. Basically, it includes everything that I would need to make the desserts that I need or would need to make.
Another aspect about the Calphalon brand that I like is the variety of sizes that the pots and pans come in. With me only having to cook for my husband and I on a daily basis, I don’t really need a large pot or pan to cook dinner. But then again, for entertaining and family functions, I will need the larger cookware to make a full meal.
Calphalon includes a variety of sizes within each cookware set so that you are able to have the range that you need to cook for a family of 2 to a family of 15.
