As 2016 kicks off, I want to take a short flashback to my classic New Year’s Eve style that kept me looking chic and feminine as I rung in the new year.
When my fiancé and I first started thinking of our plans for our NYE celebration, we knew that we didn’t want to spend the money to attend a high-class party in the city. We simply wanted to spend some quality time with some friends and family, and celebrate another year surrounded by fun, love, and great vibes. In the last few days of planning, we decided to attend a friend’s house party, where there would be drinks, food, and a great time.
I had such a fantastic time at the party. I danced, I sang, and I kissed the love of my life at midnight. But even though the party was not at a club or luxury lounge, I still felt that I should to bring in the new year in style.
Shopping for my New Year’s Eve look was more difficult than I thought it would be. Every store had New Year’s Eve style looks, but each outfit was either a dress or top that had way too may sequins (I’m not a big sequins person). So I wasn’t really finding the look I wanted.
Finally, after a few hours, I found the exact look that I had been searching for! The decided on a blush and gold ensemble – two colors that I feel are great to go along with a New Year’s Eve style look. I felt feminine and chic in my outfit, and honestly, I felt that if there was a modern Great Gatsby party, where jeans were acceptable, this is the exact outfit that I would wear. I felt comfortable and stylish in my outfit, and I am so excited to wear this again sometime in 2016!
