NYFW wouldn’t have been complete without a fabulous look for all of the shows and events that I had the privilege to attend. When I arrived in New York by bus early Friday morning, my first stop (after checking into the hotel) was to the Amelia Toro showroom located on 10th Avenue. My fellow Philly blogger Guru, from Modaninja, and I were greeted and welcomed by Gina Conzo, the VP of Sales, and she took us through the A/W ’16 collection soon to be released by Amelia Toro.
**Now, I don’t want to get too into the showroom experience because that will be hitting the blog in a few days, and you will get to read about my full experience.**
After we sat with Gina, she introduced us to the boutique manager on the first floor (the showroom was on the second). During that time, we were able to pick out a complete outfit that we would wear our NYFW attendances.
Since it was just about freezing during NYFW, and most of the travel to and from shows was walking, I decided to go with a long-sleeved black dress and a red & white thick knit jacket. The sleeves of this gorgeous dress were extended to cover a little of my hands which I absolutely adored. The top part of the dress was designed to show a ruffling effect. And the mid-length skirt was made to take the shape of the body. The jacket buttoned at the top and also when unbuttoned was able to be folded back to provide a sophisticated collar. The outfit gave me a enough layering to keep me warm during the day when the sun was out, and provided me with a great amount of luxurious feminine sophistication to bring me many compliments and snapped photos.
It was an amazing opportunity to be able to show off the designs of Amelia Toro during NYFW A/W ’16! Make sure that you stay connected this week to view the post on my full experience visiting the Amelia Toro showroom.
