When I first starting really thinking about my sense of style, I started hearing about the transition outfit. I never really understood what it meant. All I knew is that there is a time in between seasons where your summer and fall wardrobe mix together. I never knew that it had a name.
Now, being more aware of fashion and personal style, I constantly see other bloggers showing off their transition outfits. And all I can think is, I wish I could pull off those high-fashion transitional looks.
For me, I like to keep it simple. My jeans are always going to be my favorite piece of clothing, and I transition by either adding some boots or a 3/4 sleeve shirt and I’m set for getting ready for the fall.
Right now, in the northeast, transitional outfits are not what they have been. The heat is still hitting us hard so those longer sleeves are still short. But that doesn’t mean the evening don’t get cool.
For my simple transition outfit, I’m wearing my favorite pair of light-wash skinny jeans from American Eagle with a Per Una green floral woven top from Marks & Spencer.
It’s an outfit that keeps me cool during the day, but also warm during the evening.
