Drawing inspiration from the floral elements of Valentine’s Day and the sweetness that the holiday brings, I came up with Cupid’s Kiss. This Valentine’s Day martini is a great cocktail for those who love a little vodka that also has a taste of rosé.
When I first discovered the Three Olives Rosé vodka, I knew that it was going to be my Valentine’s vodka that would be a great base for a Valentine’s Day cocktail. Over this past year, I have been putting together various cocktails for various occasions, and though I have quite a few pink and floral cocktails such as the Rose Pear Margarita and the Kiss of Rose cocktail, this is my first time putting together Valentine’s Day drinks.
Along with my other Valentine’s Day cocktail, the Love Potion, this cocktail is very easy to make and will pair well with many food pairings that you may be thinking of making this with for your Valentine’s Day celebration.
The fun aspect about this cocktail is the floral garnish and the heart shaped ice cubes that are included in this Valentine’s Day martini. With this cocktail, you don’t have to include the floral garnish to get the floral element as it is all in the flavor. And this cocktail is great to not only have for Valentine’s Day but also great for date nights and other occasions when you feel that a kiss from Cupid may be what is needed for those nights where you just want something a little sweet.

Valentine’s Day Cocktail MADE WITH EDLERFLOWER LIQUOR & ROSÉ VODKA
If you’re a fan of fruity flavors with a floral accent then you will enjoy this pairing for elderflower liquor and rosé vodka. For this recipe, I used St. Germain’s Elderflower Liquor and Three Olives Rosé Vodka. The vodka is super light and mixes well with many flavors including floral and fruity flavors. Once you’ve made this Valentine’s Day martini, try using the vodka to make cocktails that have citrus flavors as the pairing comes together so smooth that you’ll begin wondering what took you so long to figure out to put the two flavors together. And for those wondering whether it truly has a rosé taste, I can assure you that it does. To test out the flavor, try putting the vodka in a glass over ice and adding a little bit of seltzer water. You’ll be able to taste the rosé flavor and begin to come up with what other cocktails you want to make with it. For the elderflower liquor, it is great to also drink on the rocks, but I like to pair it with chardonnay because the tastes blend together to amazingly that I typically pair these together in many of the cocktails I make with elderflower liquor.
How to Make HEART SHAPED ROSE PETAL ICE CUBES
It’s always fun to make ice cubes in various shapes – especially when it comes to cocktails that you make around the holiday season. For many of my drinks, I like to use a large block ice cube or a large sphere, but after taking a look on Amazon to find out what ice shapes would be great, I decided on the heart shape. There are so many options for heart shape ice cube trays and, honestly, you don’t really need to specifically get an ice cube tray. I found the tray that I used to make the ice cubes in the baking aisle and the tray is actually meant for making chocolate. The trick in making shaped ice cubes with flowers in the mix is to fill your tray with water at intervals. Prepare to make the ice cubes at least a day before, and when you first fill it with water, fill each spot with only half of the water and then add the flowers. Once frozen, add the remaining water and you can either add more flowers to freeze on the top or just let the remaining water freeze and let the flowers be in the middle.
