There are trends that are constantly on trend and flying off the shelves at various stores. Recently, one of the trends that I’ve been seeing all over social media is the embellished trends. From skirts to shirts to shoes, you can find pieces that have signature embellishments that take the piece from simple to completely stunning.
SHOP THE POST:
When it comes to embellished pieces, my advice is to pick the item based on whether the embellishment matches your personality. There are tons of embellishments to choose from. There are flowers, emojis, popular phrases, single words…the list goes on and on. So it is best to pick a piece that fully represents you.
Once you find that piece that speaks to your personality, my second piece of advice is to let that part of your outfit stand out among the rest.
For example, with this outfit I chose the a flower embellished shirt dress from Boohoo. The bright red rose on each shoulder connected to my personality. As a person who enjoys the beauty of nature and the simplicity of life, I wanted that idea to stand out in the dress. Nature surprises you. You don’t always see the beauty through the simplicity until you look at it from all angles – just like this shirt. From the front, the shirt looks simple. But when you move to the sides, you’ll see the beauty in the dress.
I let this dress stand for itself by just cinching my waist with a thin brown belt to accentuate my petite frame and to create an illusion of longer legs, and I paired the dress with my white vans so that the dress was the center piece of the outfit and the other pieces didn’t take a away from it.
You can can take the same route with any piece of embellished clothing. If your shoes are the embellished piece, then pair it with a simple one color dress or a simplistic top with jeans.
There are so many routes you can take. So to start off, check out some of the stylish embellished pieces that I found all for under $150 at the end of this post.
