4th of July Outfits for Women

Fourth Of July Outfit

The 4th of July is approaching meaning its time to find those outfits for fourth of July so that you can celebrate. The day comes with celebrations filled with hamburgers, sparklers, and great laughs with family and friends. And as you are planning your festivities, you are finding out how hard it is to find 4th of July outfits for women that look cute and aren’t too cliché.

Now, while I don’t always have a set plan for this occasion each year it comes around, what I typically have is my plan for what outfit I am going to wear. In this post, I’m sharing some amazing, non-cliché 4th of July outfits for women that you’ll be able to wear past the holiday and style differently each year.

Finding the Perfect 4TH OF JULY OUTFITS FOR WOMEN

Putting together your Fourth of July outfit can be easy, but the easiness of it all makes it also kind of hard. Let me explain. Everywhere you go, you are probably seeing a ton of looks that are red, white and blue – and some may even speak right to the holiday. I mean, I can’t even count the amount of graphic tees that I saw the mentioned Independence Day or had a cute little phrase written in red, white and blue. And with all of those options, you think to yourself, I should just pick something because there is no possibility that someone is going to have the same outfit as me, or you just settle with the first outfit that you see.

My suggestion is to not settle and don’t always make that assumption.

The trick in picking out your outfit for the season is to not shop in the featured Fourth of July section. That’s where everyone is walking to when they walk into the store looking for the outfit, or they end up in it when they are shopping for something else and end up getting the outfit in the first place. Instead, go out of the section and shop either sale racks or new arrivals. There are plenty of other pieces each store that are in red, white, and blue. Additionally, you don’t have to stick to one store. Instead, head to a variety of different stores and put pieces together that are based on your personal style.

Shopping for OUTFIT FOR FOURTH OF JULY

When shopping for your Fourth of July outfit, the first key element is to think about where you are going to be and what you are going to be doing. If you are going to be outside and it’s going to be hot, you may not want to put on a long-sleeve top or jeans, but you may want to bring a light sweater for later in the night if you are going to be outside into the cool, late summer evening. But if you are going to be inside, then the jeans and a three-quarter sleeve top may not be too bad if they are going to be pumping that air-conditioning throughout the building.

In thinking about what you are going to be doing is also going to dictate your outfit. If you are going to spend a lot of time in water (pool, creek, boat, etc), you may want to wear a top that is easy to take on and off and you’re not too afraid of getting wet – whether it be because you put the top on over your bathing suit or it just got too close the pool and water splashed on it. Also, if you’re going to be doing sparklers, you may want to have your hair pulled up, and we all know that some  outfits don’t look right when your hair is pulled back.

So, you want to consider all of these things when planning out your outfit so that it works perfectly with how you are celebrating. And as always, don’t force an outfit. Make sure that it fits your personal style.

MY 4TH OF JULY OUTFIT

For my Fourth of July outfit, I found this off the shoulder checkered top at Altar’d State in the front of the store in the new arrivals section. When I visited the store at the King of Prussia Mall, they did have a dedicated section with of ton of well put together outfits for the Fourth of July. I am going to admit that I was very tempted to purchase those pieces, but once I saw a few people picking their outfits out of that section, I went back to my original plan of shopping the pieces out of the section.

After trying on the top, I realized that I wanted to go with shorts more than I wanted to go with jeans. It’s going to be hot outside, so jeans out in the heat is typically uncomfortable or me. So, I went over to my favorite place for buying anything denim – American Eagle – where I found these amazing, well-cut shorts. And since there is a high possibility that we will be outside for our Fourth of July celebration, I decided that I would just stick with my white Vans and keep the outfit looking bright, clean, and crisp.

Now, if you don’t have your outfit together just yet. I highly recommend checking out the stores that I got this outfit from because they have such cute pieces fit for the occasion. And if you already have your outfit put together, I would love to hear where you got your pieces and what you were inspired by!
