As most of you know, I am not longer in an office. But that doesn’t mean that this season, I won’t be attending any holiday parties. The school where I teach will be hosting a holiday pot-luck during school, and I’m sure we teachers will be getting together in the after-hours for a good holiday send-off before heading off for a break. And even more, my fiance will be having some holiday parties for his office, and who says that I won’t be getting invited to those. No matter how you are celebrating the holidays with your co-workers, you’ll need to know what to wear to a holiday office party that is still fit for work but has a sense of the holiday style.
When dressing for the holiday work party, the key is to still look professional, be comfortable, and include pieces that you would wear to work with pieces that you would wear outside of work.
The outfit that I have put together for my holiday work party includes all of those elements. I have worn the blanket scarf and vest to work before because it was comfortable and because they are pieces for my teaching style. The jeans, turtleneck top, and OTK boots are all pieces that I would wear out for some drinks during the weekend. By pairing all of these pieces together, I have created the perfect office holiday party look. It is one-half work, and the other half play.
