Today is a super exciting day because today is the day that the Philly Guide by LivingLesh has launched and can be searched, explored, and experienced by everyone! This project has been a long time in the making, and to be launching it today means so much as this is the beginning of a growing resource where you can be guided through Philly and have no questions on where to do, what to do, and how to fully experience Philly.
WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN THE PHILLY GUIDE
In this insider’s guide to Philadelphia, you’ll find unique guides to places to stay, eat, drink, shop, relax, and experience. All of the places that are featured are places that I have experienced myself, and I want to be able to provide you an insider’s guide of getting the most out of these places as well as giving you an overview of what you may expect.
We all know that planning a visit to a location can be daunting, and we are often asking for the assistance of people who have been there to guide them through how to get the most out of their stay, and that is what the Philly Guide provides. Even more, if you’re a local of the city, this guide will also introduce you to places that you may not have been or knew existed. We often stick to places we know, and the hidden gems of our own cities go unnoticed. This guide is here to solve that.
WHY I DECIDED TO MAKE THE PHILLY GUIDE
I love the city of Philadelphia. If it weren’t for the traffic, I probably would be living there. But instead, I currently live just enough out of the city that traffic is lighter, but I often find myself venturing to the city more times in a month than my car would like.
As I visited various restaurants, hotels, shops, bars, businesses, and museums around the city, I always found myself connecting with friends and family and telling them that they needed to visit ASAP. But that always didn’t satisfy me, I wanted the world to know about all of these wonderful places. Especially because I would see various people visiting the city from outside of the state and going to some of the common places that are great, but there was light not being shed on the other fantastic locations housed in the city of Philadelphia.
So I decided to create this guide. I often share posts about visits outside of the US such as Jamaica or the Bahamas, but what was missing was me sharing posts on my own city. So here it is.
HOW TO USE IT
The Philly Guide is pretty easy to use. You can access the guide from my navigation bar where it will take you to the landing page and from there, you’ll find all of the categories that house the individual guides.
Each guide is unique to one locale, event, or experience. And inside the guide, you’ll find photos, the address, and information on what to expect and what to look for.
This guide is continuous. So just because you’re visiting it today doesn’t mean you’ll fully consume the Philly Guide. You may see only five recommendations for places to stay today, but next week you may find eight. It’ll grow, change, and develop until all of Philadelphia is covered in this guide. But since Philadelphia is always changing that won’t ever happen. There are infinite possibilities in this guide, and from this guide, you’ll be able to tailor the experience that you want to have while in Philadelphia.
