Just A Little Bit of Edge in Everyday Fashion

I used to be afraid to dress with a little edge. Let’s be serious – I’m in the working world and dressing this way is typically not acceptable during the 9 to 5. But recently, I have found that putting a little edginess in my wardrobe is not anything to be afraid of.

If you’re like me and you are just starting to integrate a little edge into your wardrobe, the best thing to do is to keep to a solid color first and only wear pieces that you are comfortable with.

This navy dress from Tobi is perfect for exactly what I want to do. It is a one piece with a short skirt and shows just enough skin to be edgy without making me uncomfortable. I paired my dress with a bralette in order to add a little bit of “umpf” and also so that I am not baring so much skin.

The dress gives off a little bit of an edgy school girl look which fits my exact style. When putting on accessories, I added some basic silver and black jewelry and a pair of black shoes.

With the length of this skirt, I can also add this to my list of great outfits for petite women. The skirt is long enough to not bare too much skin, but short enough to show off some leg. And with the low neckline, my torso is being elongated to give me a longer look. These small details are very important for a petite girl who wants to give off the look of being taller.
