How to Keep the Holiday Spirit Going After Christmas

The holiday season has ended and it’s time to start packing up the Christmas decorations and prepare ourselves for what 2018 is going to bring us. Well, that’s everyone keeps telling me. And honestly, I’m not ready for the holiday season to be over and does it really need to be over?

Each holiday season we talk about sharing love, it being time a giving, and renewal. But shouldn’t these things be happening all year? I’m not one just to wait until the end of the year to show my love and appreciation. And I don’t wait for one time in the year to be a giving person. Honestly, I don’t think many people do. It’s just highlighted at this time of year.

So, I’m not taking down the Christmas decoration. Well, literally I am because my husband wants me to. But the holiday spirit is going to reside in me all year as it always should.

I’m refusing to not wear my holiday pjs, sweaters, and leggings. I’m going to wear them until it gets too warm to wear them at all. When I bought this sweater at Aerie, it was listed in the holiday section along with my other ‘Chilly’ holiday sweater that I also snagged and wore during the Aerie Pop-Up tour that I was a part of.

And since New Year’s Eve signals the end of the holiday season, I’m not making a NYE resolution. I am going to keep pursuing the goals that I have set for myself and make some new ones. Hubby and I even set some goals together that we want to achieve before reaching our one year anniversary in April.

So how about you, are you going to keep wearing that holiday sweater that you love so much, even if you wore it to the ugly sweater party?
