Everyone, including myself, has been so into the brunch time meet-ups. But recently, I’ve found myself a little too lazy to get out of bed early enough to even get to brunch. So, by the time that I get up, it’s time for lunch. Before I was teaching, I worked in an office, which meant that lunchtime was the only time that I was able to get out during the day to get some fresh air and grab a quick bite. With both of these things in mind, lunchtime began to become my favorite time. Now, whenever I get an invitation to meet up, I always say let’s go for lunch. There are great lunch specials and awesome drinks for the midday meal and it gives me the opportunity to show off my city fashion.
I’ve found so many special spots to visit in the city for lunch. I especially love the outdoor spaces when the weather is cool enough to eat outside. It is wonderful to be able to sit and relax and enjoy the sounds of the day. And sometimes, even in the heat, I opt to sit outside. But I need to make sure to wear something especially cool.
Light colors and light fabrics are essential for an outside lunch. These white wide-leg pants have become my favorite pants for the summer. And the light blue cutout top is also especially great. I get to show some skin and keep cool but still keep it classy and professional.
