On my first day at NYFW, I had the privilege of attending the Francesca Liberatore F/W ’16 fashion show at the Dock at Monyihan Station. This was my first season attending NYFW, so it was truly a great honor to be invited to such a prestigious show with designs being showcased by an innovative designer.
The Francesca Liberatore F/W ‘ 16 Collection included edgy designs in dark hues. As I watched the runway show, I viewed dresses, skirts, and suits that showcased a color palette of neutral tones complimented by statement facets in colors such as red and green. One of the main aspects that stood out in the Francesca Liberatore collection was the sheer fabrics that were used. Though many of the pieces were in blacks, whites, and other neutral colors, the sheer fabric added an edge and made the piece take on a risqué aspect.
One of the other features that I enjoyed in her collection was the various outerwear pieces. She included various jackets and coats that either established its own presence or was complimentary to another piece such as a skirt, top, or accessory.
Make sure to see the full video of the show and take a look a some of my favorite pieces from the show displayed below.
