On Day 2 of NYFW, I was invited to the Leanne Marshall show (#LovelyLeanne) where she featured her F/W ’16 collection of absolutely fabulous gowns. Now I will admit that this was one of my favorite shows during NYFW because I have a deep appreciation for luxurious gowns. (I don’t own any, because I have no where to wear them, but I do have a fondness for the designs).
When I was first invited to the show, I was ecstatic. I watched her as a contestant on Project Runway and was so excited when she won. Since becoming engaged, I have been actively looking at various types of wedding gowns and before NYFW, I had my eye on a bridal gown by Leanne Marshall. Her gowns are consistently designed with a feminine elegance that creates movement and mood in each piece.
For her F/W ’16 line, the gowns that hit the runway were exactly what was to be expected. Each piece contained an ethereal glow with silhouettes appropriate to the female shape. The color palette containing shades of browns, grays, and yellows was perfect for the F/W season.
The runway show included a walk pattern that made sure that each person attending the show as able to see each design as it passed.
Unfortunately, the line is not yet featured on her page, but you can visit the Leanne Marshall website to see past collections and her bridal designs – and you can look at my personal photos below and see some of my favorite looks for the Leanne Marshall F/W ’16 runway show.
