Steak 48
If you’re looking for a night out with great ambiance and an upscale atmosphere, then Steak 48 is the restaurant that you’ll want to head to. Located right along Broad Street and only blocks away from City Hall, this restaurant is a great location for date nights, family dinners, business meals, and general gatherings for drinks and bites. It’s best to make a reservation as the restaurant gets busy fairly quickly, especially if there is a show happening at the Kimmel Center since it’s located right across the street.
For dinner, you’ll be seated on one of the two floors. On the upper area, you’ll find an exquisite bar area as well a tables with some located right along the barrier so that you can look down below. On the lower area, some of the best seats in the house are right by the kitchen or at the front of the restaurant. I, personally, love the booth seating right off the kitchen. You have a barrier between the kitchen and your table so that you aren’t overtaken by the noise but you can still see the hustle and bustle of what is going on and how they are prepping the fresh food like the freshly made bread, and the both also secludes you from the rest of the restaurants so that you feel as if you are in an intimate dining setting.
As you order, I highly recommend listening to the specials as some of the off menu items are spectacular. But when ordering on menu, I recommend ordering off the raw bar or if you’re looking for warm food, the braised pork belly is one of my favorites. Then for your main course, it’s no secret that you have to order steak. Though there are other great non-steak items on the menu, including vegetarian and non-red meat options, the steak is where you’ll want to go. Make sure to be prepared to order your steak and have it come out sizzling at the temperature that you asked for with any toppings or additions that you may order (like the amazing truffle butter topping). Sides are ordered for the table, and there are plenty that everyone can agree upon.
I would also recommend ordering one of their specialty drinks. Steak 48 does have a full bar so that you can order whatever your drink preference is, but their specialty drinks are delectable and will have you ordering others just after trying one.
