Trust me, I get it. That’s why I wanted to offer up a few suggestions as you plan our your perfect Halloween costumes and decor for Halloween 2023.
Simply Spooky
Decorate your house for the spookiest night of the year! Think lots of cobwebs, smoky haze bubbling up from a witch’s cauldron (pro tip: dry ice is your friend!), and decorations that put the trick in trick-or-treat. If you really want to give your guests a fright, add a motion-sensor activated decoration to the front porch to give them a scare!
Wholesome Harvest Party
If you have a lot of little kids, or your group just isn’t into all things spooky and scary, lean into the happier side of Halloween. Decorate with lots of fun pumpkins, happy ghosts, and candy-corn themed snacks. For a party, consider painting crafts or fun games! Halloween doesn’t always have to be scary – it can be fun and lighthearted, too.
Elevated Evil
If you want to go for a more glam, elegant look for your Halloween decor, take the spooky look up a notch with lots of elegant gold, brass, and black accents. Aim for a more vintage aesthetic that will give your home an older, creepier vibe, mixed with witchy touches and creepy details.
