15 STORES LIKE POTTERY BARN
1. West Elm
West Elm is a gorgeous midcentury modern furniture store that carries a wide range of pieces for your entire home, from the kitchen to the bedrooms to the living space. Their products are made to last, and as West Elm is owned by the same overhead as Pottery Barn, you can trust that you’ll have the same fabulous shopping experience, and will love the products you choose.
2. Crate & Barrel
Crate & Barrel is a store that is incredibly similar to Pottery Barn in just about every day. Both have the same clean, modern, classy aesthetic and product design, as well as the same price range and high-quality items. If you like Pottery Barn, you’ll like Crate & Barrel, no questions asked. For the same shopping experience and selection, they’re a fantastic pick.
You just can’t go wrong with Anthropologie. While their design and style choices may be different from Pottery Barn, I had to include them because their quality and prices are quite similar. If you’ve based the majority of your interior design choices around the style of Pottery Barn, Anthropologie could be a fun place to pick up some accessories and decor items to give your home a fun boho chic flair. Their items are unique, well-made, and stylish, so I wholeheartedly recommend adding some of their pieces to your home.
Let’s be honest – life is crazy, and we don’t always have time to go around town browsing different stores for your interior design and decor needs. Wayfair knows that, and they’ve got you covered. Wayfair is a fully online furniture and home goods store with more options than you can possibly imagine. It can be a little overwhelming, but trust me – if you’re looking for something, you can probably find it at Wayfair.
Wayfair does offer a large variety of products that range from lower to higher end quality and price, which means that no matter your budget, you can shop for what you need and find something affordable. However, I would recommend reading the product reviews to get an idea of what you’re purchasing.
5. World Market
World Market is another choice that may not have the exact aesthetic of Pottery Barn, but is consistent with the product quality and price point. Like Anthropologie, their pieces are very unique, often with a boho or exotic flair as World Market draws inspiration from international countries and their styles. They have sturdy furniture, gorgeous wall hangings, and fun, quirky kitchenware to add pops of color and pattern to your home.
6. Williams Sonoma
Classy, warm, and inviting, Williams Sonoma is one of my favorite Pottery Barn alternatives – especially when it comes to kitchenware and cooking, entertaining, and hosting items. Their pieces are high quality and made to last. And while they may be predominantly known for their kitchen goods, Williams Sonoma actually offers pieces for your entire home, from couches to bedroom sets and more.
And if you didn’t know – Williams Sonoma actually owns Pottery Barn, so you know that you’re receiving the same standard of excellence and care that you are used to.
7. Urban Outfitters
Did you know that Urban Outfitters carries more than just clothes? Surprise! They actually have a great selection of furniture, home goods, and more to help craft a space you will love. They offer a ton of fun, trendy pieces, and will liven up any space. And if you’re helping your kids upgrade their bedrooms from the days of Pottery Barn Kids, Urban Outfitters will have pieces that they will love – that you might just find yourself falling in love with, too.
8. One Kings Lane
One Kings Lane is another favorite of mine. Think elegant luxury – classic pieces that will stay in style for years to come. They offer a wide selection of pieces and products, so no matter which room in your home you’er in the midst of refurnishing, you’ll be able to find something that you’re looking for.
And if you happen to consider yourself a bit interior design challenged, One Kings Lane also offers interior design services, so you can take some of the pressure off and focus on watching your dream home come to life stress free.
9. Pier 1
Looking to step up your home, but struggling to know where to shop without spending a pretty penny? Pier 1 is one of my favorite places to check out for pieces that won’t break the bank. They offer inviting pieces with a touch of coastal flair, are a great place to go for holiday decor, and even have their own line of scents and fragrances, so your home won’t just look great – it will smell good, too.
Haven’t heard of CB2 before? Think Pottery Barn, but with an even more modern flair. Sleek, clean, and sharp, CB2 will give your home a fresh, current feel that you’ll love. And if you’re a fan of shopping with Crate & Barrel, CB2 is actually their sister company, so you can trust that you’ll be thrilled with the results.
11. Serena & Lily
I just love shopping with Serena & Lily. Again, they have a similar quality, selection, and price point to Pottery Barn, but with more of a west coast feel. Think light and airy, classic and cozy. Fresh, elegant, upscale – Serena & Lily has so many gorgeous pieces that you’ll have trouble deciding which you love most!
12. Lulu & Georgia
Lulu & Georgia offers exclusive, high-end pieces for an upscale addition to your home. They are on the higher end of the price range, but if you have the budget, their pieces are worth the investment. They offer a modern look that will freshen up your home and give you a burst of inspiration every time you walk into the room.
It is important to note that they only ship to the United States, so international friends, don’t get your hopes up! Even if you aren’t in the country, though, Lulu & Georgia is a great place to look for inspiration.
13. Joss & Main
Joss & Main is another one stop shop. You can find everything that you’re looking for and then some at Joss & Main. They offer a fresh, bright, modern look to bring your home up to date with the latest trends while staying tasteful and classic. Joss & Main also has ties to Wayfair, so they’re a great place to check for more affordable furniture pieces if you’re operating on a budget.
14. The Citizenry
I am a huge fan of The Citizenry because they are incredibly unique and creative in their designs. Taking inspiration from all over the world, The Citizenry offers pieces that are not only well-designed and original, but ethically crafted by skilled artisans. You don’t have to wonder about where your items are coming from or the conditions they were made under. When you shop at The Citizenry, you know that your purchase was created with care, and that you won’t find it anywhere else as pieces are made in limited batches.
Looking for cozy, warm, and comfortable pieces to make your house feel more like a home? Parachute has you covered. I love the contemporary style that they offer, and if you’re looking to make your life a little more hygge, Parachute is the perfect place for you to shop. Plus, they tend to have more affordable prices than the majority of home good and furniture stores, so you can find the pieces you are dreaming of without breaking the bank – always a win in my book!
