My husband and I are always looking for tranquil places to getaway and enjoy time together. Every once and awhile, we like to find a time where we can have a parent’s getaway or have a family staycation that isn’t too jam packed with adventures, but is one that just gives us a moment to relax and reflect.
So on a recent trip away to visit family, my husband and I decided that it would be a great time for a little staycation of our own and what a gem of a place we found in Narragansett, Rhode Island – the Shore House.
The Shore House is a historic boutique inn that sits directly on the beach After a recent refresh in the Spring of 2021, this inn is the ideal location for any type of staycation.
Located only minutes from local eateries and less than an hour from Warwick and Providence, it’s a place to stay that you won’t find in many other places. During our stay, I felt like we were at home and the level of comfort was to a level that made me rethink of what comfort I was building in my own home. So, with that in mind, here is a reflection of our stay at the Shore House in Rhode Island.
Staying AT THE SHORE HOUSE IN NARRAGANSETT
When we arrived at the Shore House, it was apparent that we were staying at an inn that was focused on making sure that we felt at home. With the Shore House originally being a place that was open during the warmer months, it was great to know that The Shore House is now open during the Fall and Winter season so that you can enjoy the luxury of the inn all year-round. Entering into the main area, we were welcomed my the most friendly staff and saw the library area where you could sit and relax and enjoy the company of others outside of your room.
THE ROOM
The guest rooms at The Shore House are have home-like luxury aesthetic drawing inspiration from the town of Narragansett. Each room houses a super comfy king-sized bed, marble vanities and rainfall showers. In the room that we stayed in, we even had the luxury of having a balcony that we could walk out on in the morning to enjoy a cup of tea while watching the sunrise over the water. The unique decor of each room was to be marveled because of it’s elegance and it’s historical feel.
ACCOMODATIONS
With the renovations that were done, The Shore House now offers accommodations that emphasize the feeling of home. One of the newest elements is that on-site restaurant – Sea Craft. That contains an expansive raw bar and New England cuisine for both lunch and dinner. So feel free to just come down the stairs from your room and enjoy a nice meal without feeling like you have to go far, and then walk out to the beach to enjoy your time in Narragansett along the water.
