Utility jumpsuits are a trend that so many stray away from, but it’s one that everyone needs to fall in line with. You may be asking yourself “why?”, and the answer to the question is because it’s a piece that can be worn in so many ways that people will be thinking that you’re wearing a completely different outfit every time. Early this Fall, I was able to get my hands on this tan jumpsuit and to be completely honest, I have worn it so many times, but have made it look entirely different with each look that I created. I had a few people ask me how I was able to create these different looks, and I want to share those tips in this post.

Jumpsuits are super versatile. It’s a style that can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. And there are so many styles that it can come in. One of my favorite jumpsuits that I currently own is my blue floral jumpsuit that I have been able to wear to more dressy occasions.
When you’re looking to dress up a utility jumpsuit, the best way to go about it is styling a bold, statement belt, some heels, and a bold makeup look to push the boundaries of the entire look altogether. But if you’re going the other way and want to dress it down a little more, is to forgo the belt and leave it a little wide or have one with a built-in cinch and wear it with a neutral sneaker.
If the style isn’t one that you think you can latch onto right away, get two basic styles of a jumpsuit, and makes sure one is a utility jumpsuit – believe me, you won’t regret it. And then start styling from there. Once you get used to the jumpsuit trend, you’ll fall in love with it and end up having a bunch of jumpsuits in your closet in a variety of styles.
As you begin looking for your own jumpsuits, also be wary of length, especially if you’re petite like me. When I pick out jumpsuits, I try to find one that either come in petite size or cinch at the ankle if I don’t want to wear them with heels all the time.
