Recently, I’ve been finding some great lounge dresses at Nordstrom, which you know is always a win in my book. I love shopping both in-store and online at Nordstrom, and always find pieces that I love.
I also have found some great loungewear dresses at Target. If you’re trying to look for the best price, it’s hard to beat Target‘s great deals, and they always have super cute and comfy styles as well.
When shopping for lounge dresses, I’m also a sucker for Amazon in a pinch, because who can beat the free shipping?
HOW TO Style WOMEN’S LOUNGEWEAR DRESSES
One of my favorite things about loungewear dresses is their versatility. You can style them so many different ways to make them the perfect piece for a wide variety of occasions. It just takes a little bit of thought to put the right look together!
In many ways, loungewear dresses are easier to style than other loungewear because unlike wearing lounge pants and a cute shirt, you don’t have to worry about matching tops and bottoms when wearing a lounge dress. It’s one simple piece, and all you have to do is decide on the right styling and accessories.
When I’m just at home, I usually don’t worry too much about styling my lounge dress – I have too many other things to think about! As a working mom, I love being able to throw on a loungewear dress and know that I’ll be comfortable jumping back and forth between taking care of my son and sitting down at my desk to work.
Wearing a dress at home automatically makes me feel more put together, so it’s a great pick me up during a long week when everything feels a little too mundane.
I will often pair my dress with dainty jewelry that won’t get in the way, like pretty stud earrings and a simple necklace. This gives me the feel of dressing up and helps me feel more put together without taking much time or getting in the way of what I need to do. I also sometimes throw my hair up to keep it out of my face as I go about my day.
What I love about my lounge dresses, however, is that if I decide halfway through the day that I need to go out to run an errand, or I have plans to grab coffee with a friend, I can easily transition the dress to look great for the rest of my day as well. I can throw a cardigan or denim jacket over top if it’s chilly out, or just to add some dimension and layering to the piece. For more casual errands, I may wear my favorite pair of sneakers, because the dress is casual enough to make the look cohesive, or I may throw on some wedge boots if I want to elevate the look and make it more stylish.
Additionally, I like to think through the jewelry – do I want to keep things simple as I did at home, or do I want to take things up a notch with some fun bracelets or hoop earrings?
With the right jewelry and heels, lounge dresses can even be styled up enough for a night out, which might be my favorite thing of all. You’ll look incredibly cute and stylish, and no one but you has to know that you also feel comfortable enough that you might as well be wearing your PJs!
