Spirit of Philadelphia
One experience that you must have while in Philadelphia is taking a river cruise aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia. Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, having a date night, going out with friends or family, or anywhere in between, the Spirit of Philadelphia is a great experience that will have everyone enjoying the food and up and dancing during the cruise.
Spirit of Philadelphia has a number of different experiences including dinner cruises, brunch cruises, lunch cruises, cocktail cruises and even cruises for the holiday. If you’re not looking to eat and drink during the cruise, there are even sightseeing cruises that will take you around the city to see the unique historical landmarks of the city. The nighttime dinner cruises are some of the best cruises to take. Buy your ticket ahead of time and park right at the port. Upon checking in, you’ll be seated at your table and be greeted by the wonderful staff who will help to serve you drinks and appetizers prior to the buffet being opened for the dinner. There are upgrades that you can also book to get different experiences onboard including having a reserved table that includes a champagne welcome drink right at your table.
After dinner is through, dance the night away on the dance floor inside with the rest of the guests or enjoy the night air and the lights of the city. You’ll also find fun games to place and other unique experiences that you can enjoy while cruising along the river. Boarding typically starts 30 minutes prior to departure, and the cruises last about three total hours before you are back on land and out to enjoy the rest of your day. I recommend boarding early so that you can get seated and get your drink early before the line gets too long with the boarding of the other passengers.
